Hello Burbank Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  I am proud and passionate about the students and community we serve and the educational experiences we provide. I look forward to to this school year and am hopeful that we will continue to build our partnership with families to support all students.

Our school website is a wonderful resource for families.  Please take a moment to subscribe to our school google calendar to keep up to date with all school activities, holidays, and early release days.  Families can also find our daily bell schedule under the “Our School” tab.  Another useful tool on this website is our Voluntary Supply List.  Please note this list is voluntary, if your child does not bring supplies to school they will be provided to them.  Our school office strives to provide up to date information on our website and it is our hope that you will use this as a tool to guide your child's education this school year.

 

This school year we will continue our efforts to improve student achievement while infusing Visual and Performing Arts into curriculum. Accelerating student achievement is our priority, our staff strives to provide instruction that supports this. We are constantly reflecting and refining our instructional practices to be the best that we can for each one of our students, and to ensure all students are college and career ready. We are also committed to ensuring students are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to promote Motivated, Trustworthy, Respectful and Cooperative citizens.

We highly encourage parents and community members to be engaged in our school as partners in educating our students. Parents and community members have the opportunity to join our Parent Teacher Association yearly. Our PTA does an excellent job supporting the students and staff at Burbank Elementary School. Also, parents have an opportunity to participate in the School Site Council and the English Language Advisory Committee.

ABC Unified has made it even easier for families to stay up to date with the most current district and school information with the addition of the ParentSquare app.  This app allows families to receive notifications and messages by email and text.  ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent or guardian using their preferred email address and phone number from Aeries Parent Portal.  Please take the time to download the ParentSquare app today to ensure you don’t miss any important information.  If you are needing assistance please visit our district website, click ParentSquare under the family tab for instructions.
