I will be using this website to inform you of assignments and information that will be helpful as we continue our distance learning adventures.

Wonders - The students will click on Wonders and then go to 2020 Keester. They will then use their own code to log in. I emailed their code to you a couple of weeks ago. It is the 3 object code.

Go Noodle is a fun site to get your kids moving. It is a good site for exercise.

Wonders= Unit 10 week 3 Letter Zz and the word what.

When working on assignments online please be sure to click the submit button when you complete your assignment. That way I can tell which assignments you have done. Please be sure to do the assignments that are marked . This will be labeled by the unit and the week. I will always post the unit and the week on the website. If you want to go back and work on previous assignments that you didn't do, I encourage you to do that.

Essential Question-What ideas can you suggest to protect the environment?

This week we will learn about ways to care for the world around us.

Please have your materials ready for the week.

Please pull Unit 10 Week 3 pages from the yellow crab book and paper clip them together. That way your child can easily find their work. Please have your child put a post it note in their math book so that they can find their page easily.

Weekly outline for ELA

Monday= circle map. We will be doing two circle maps this week

Tuesday= Reading Folder (composition book), Handwriting (alphabet book), workbook page from the yellow crab book and the little book from the yellow crab book.

Wednesday= Asynchronous Work Day,

Thursday= Word of the week page, from the stapled pack of words,

Friday= Reading Folder (composition book), Little book from the yellow crab book, Spelling list page. The spelling list pages are paper clipped together and it will say, at the bottom, what unit and what week we are on.

While I work with the ELD group, the rest of the class will be working on their writing assignment. They will stay in the main GM, while I am in a breakout room with ELD.

While I am doing reading groups the rest of the class will log out of GM and work on wonders. They will be reading their assigned reading books and doing the assigned activities. At 1:05, we will come back to the GM to dismiss at 1:10. It is important to log back into GM for dismissal and to answer any questions.

I will be working with reading groups from 12:35-1:00.

Monday = Purple group, Tuesday= Blue group, Thursday= Green group, Friday= Red group.

Purple group = Dominique, Bryan, Jace, TJ, Arshan, Harlie, Brihat

Blue group = Isaac, Gwen, Luis, Jacob

Green group = Matthew, Makaela, Fatima, Ziah, Kaley

Red group = Grecia, Irie, Sahib, Imela, Rosie

I will continue to work with the ELD groups Mon. Tues. Thurs. Fri. from 12:15-12:35. Pineapples = Jacob, Luis, Fatima, Gwen, Sahib, Brihat, Imela

Extra Reading group = Monday, Thursday from 11:40 - 12:10 with Ms. Corrina 3whkjuv. Rosie, Sahib, Luis, Jacob, Grecia

Hybrid Students

It will be very important that you bring all materials needed to school and that you are on time. School will start at 8:15. Please allow time to get your temperature checked, get to your class and get your materials ready for the day. This is very important because we have students that are learning at home as well. We will all need to be logged on and ready to learn at 8:15.


Supplies to bring to school -

· Water bottle

· Extra set of clothes

· Chromebook (fully charged) and charger

· White board and white board marker

· Circle map

· Your Turn book pages for the week (crab book)

· Alphabet book (Handwriting book)

· Composition book (story folder)

· ELD book (butterfly book)

· Writing journal

· Swun Math Student Journal

· Math Mat and Manipulatives

· Monthly activity folder (April – purple folder)

It will be a good idea to bing your own head phones for small group

If you think of something else that isn't mentioned, please let me know

***Students will be provided with a pencil box to use in the classroom including: pencils, eraser, crayons, scissors and glue stick.

Our New Schedule will look something like this. Please be aware of times that the students at home will need to be back in class. School starts earlier, gets out later and we have a shorter lunch.

8:15-8:30 = School starts, attendance, calendar,

8:30-10:00 = ELA, Go Noodle, read aloud,

10:00-10:15 = Recess

10:15-11:00= Math

11:05-11:35= Lunch

11:35-12:15= Social Studies/Science and Go Noodle

12:15-12:35= ELD/Writing (I will be working with the ELD students, The rest of the students will be writing in their journal. You will stay logged in. I will be in a breakout room with the ELD students. The students writing will remain in the main room.

12:35-1:05= Reading Groups/Wonders I will work with the reading group while the rest of the students log off and work on Wonders.

1:00-1:10= Mon./Tuesday This time will be used for the hybrid students to pack up and get ready to go home. On Thurs./Friday, we will log back on at 1:05 and dismiss at 1:10.
